I recently joined the Biggest Loser competition on Vance AFB. I really appreciate all the hard work that everyone has put into this program. I am hoping to lose about 30lbs. I think that this site will help me keep track of all of the activities that I do on a daily basis that will help me reach that goal. Thank you for all of your help.

I can't wait to see Enid's youth participate in an effort that will combat the weight of obesity in children. I'm looking forward to seeing Be Fit Kids grow!

Brent's Court

As a collegiate and professional athlete I have seen my share of aches, pains, pulls, and even surgeries. Even now, I feel some lower back pain that is a direct result of throwing myself around the court for so many years. Every person experiences some sort of aches or pains when they start a new fitness program. Muscles are doing things they haven't done before.

Each of us are prone to different types of ailments. Some people may be susceptible to tendon tears. Some runners can be prone to a painful condition called compartment syndrome, or you may even suffer back pain quite often. I say all of this to encourage you to seek medical advice if your pain feels unbearable or it lingers for more than a few days.

I am not a doctor, and don't pretend to be, but I know that some aches and pains are a natural part of the process. As you workout, you break the body down to a degree and it rebuilds itself, stronger.

Listen to your body. Don't try to "tough it out." Remember some pain is natural but seek a medical professional before you make things worse.
